A CAD Designer/Drafter (H/F)

Reporting to the Technical Director and working as part of the Engineering Design Office, this role is at the heart of projects involving the design of industrial installations dedicated to the treatment of water, wastewater and industrial fluids.

Based on the process flow diagrams (P&IDs) developed by the Process Engineers, the role involves turning technical concepts into concrete, functional, optimised and buildable industrial installations.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

-Participate in the technical design of installations
-Analyse process diagrams, specifications and technical project data
-Understand the overall operation of the processes in order to propose consistent and realistic technical solutions
-Contribute to equipment layout decisions and the organisation of process units
-Work closely with Process Engineers and Project Managers on technical solutions

Carry out engineering studies and 3D modelling:

-Design installations, equipment and process assemblies using SolidWorks
-Model piping networks, pumps, tanks, instruments and associated equipment
-Produce general layouts and assembly drawings
-Prepare manufacturing and installation drawings, as well as the technical documentation required by the workshop and construction sites
-Ensure the optimal integration of operational, maintenance and safety constraints

Carry out sizing of piping networks and equipment:

-Perform basic hydraulic calculations required for installation sizing
-Take into account flow rates, pressure losses, pumping requirements and fluid circulation
-Check the technical consistency of the solutions selected
-Proactively suggest improvements to the solutions designed

Prepare technical procurement and supplier consultations:

-Prepare bills of materials and equipment lists
-Identify the equipment required for the projects
-Participate in supplier consultations
-Compare technical offers and contribute to equipment selection in coordination with the project teams

Support project execution:

-Act as the technical interface with the manufacturing workshop
-Liaise with fitters, welders and technicians to ensure the feasibility of the selected solutions
-Participate in the technical follow-up of the work
-Make any necessary adjustments during the manufacturing or installation phases
-Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation for the installations

Beyond simply producing drawings, this role requires a strong understanding of industrial processes and the ability to turn a process diagram into a complete, operational and buildable industrial solution.
