Founding of NEREUS
At the origin of NEREUS are people, professionally and personally committed to the environment and water treatment.
Back in 2013, the principles that mattered most to the founders—reuse, repurpose, democratize, preserve resources, and above all, solve problems, were still rarely prioritized. These principles were instilled with utmost conviction into the DNA of NEREUS.
After developing the dynamic filtration technology that forms the core of most NEREUS solutions, the company was officially founded, starting out in the business incubator at Cœur d’Hérault.
Very quickly, the first commercial successes were accompanied by multiple innovation awards and trophies, confirming to the small team that they were moving in the right direction.

The core of our solutions lies in the expertise of our teams. They are the ones who develop, design, and build the equipment. We are committed to maintaining an ecosystem where our teams can operate without limits to their imagination, ensuring that creativity permeates every level of the company.
From 2013 to 2023
Today, more than 20 team members work together to uphold NEREUS’s values and achieve its goals.
Getting here was not a smooth journey; it required courage to convince, finance, develop, build, and commission our solutions, learn from hands-on experience, and continuously improve. Using our proprietary nanofiltration membrane technology, we launched our first mobile demonstration unit, “MOBILIS.”
Thanks to field feedback from our teams and our investments in R&D, our technologies have evolved to handle over 960 m³/day at the Distillerie du Simon, providing water of the highest quality (A) for immediate reuse.
Whether in Tourism, Buildings, Industry, or Municipalities, NEREUS has become a proud vessel, ready to venture ever further.
FROM 2024
In 2024, QUAERO CAPITAL came on board with the ambition to reach a new milestone. Integrated within the Futur’eau platform, we joined an ecosystem fully focused on the challenges of the water cycle.
That same year, a moment of immense pride marked our journey: our team was selected for two projects as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Participating in this global event—a symbol of performance, innovation, and commitment—was a valuable recognition of our expertise and vision.
In 2025, our leadership team evolved with the arrival of seasoned industry professionals, strengthening our expertise. We also consolidated our synergies within the Futur’Eau group.
This evolution allows us to expand our range of solutions and offer financing options tailored to our clients, while continuing our mission: solving water challenges for as many people as possible and enhancing the value of the resource.
